Alexander is a designer and maker of fine jewelry. His work pairs intricately sculpted natural forms with precious gemstones to create miniature sculptures, transporting the viewer into a mystical world detached from our modern era.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City, Alexander studied the techniques of the old masters of art and craftsmanship to translate his visions of beauty into wearable art. He later moved to London to apprentice in traditional goldsmithing before returning to Charlottesville, where he continues to refine his craft under master goldsmith Lee Marracini.

Vision and ethos

From an early age, Alexander has been captivated by the beauty and complexity of the natural world, dedicating himself to understanding what he sees as nature's timeless language of design. His work is not an escape from reality, but a reflection of the innate beauty that persists in a world increasingly shaped by human intervention. Through flowing lines, organic forms, rich textures, and vibrant gemstones, each piece seeks to inspire a deeper appreciation for both craftsmanship and the natural world.

Every design begins as a hand-carved wax sculpture before being cast in precious metal using the ancient lost-wax casting process, ensuring each piece is truly one of a kind.

His current collection, Hidden Realms, explores the freedom and mystery of the ocean and its extraordinary lifeforms. In support of the ecosystems that inspire his work, 5% of all profits are donated to coral reef restoration.
