Artist & Jeweller

      Alexander Erlan

Alexander is the designer and maker of fine jewellery, handcrafted in Charlottesville, Virginia. A specialist in goldsmithing and wax carving, Alexander draws inspiration from the natural world, ancient craft traditions, and the mystical histories of the past. Each piece he creates is a meditation on beauty, individuality, and the enduring power of meaningful objects.

From a young age, Alexander has been fascinated by old-world antiquity and the sacred art of creation. He has dedicated his studies to understanding the techniques and philosophies that allowed the makers of the past to create objects of both beauty and purpose—pieces that carried meaning beyond the material, and that could be treasured across generations.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City, Alexander trained under renowned jewellers including Elsa Tierney in London and is currently completing his second apprenticeship with master goldsmith Lee Angelo Marraccini in Charlottesville. Through an evolving collection of fine jewellery and bespoke commissions, he works closely with clients to craft pieces that are not only visually striking but deeply personal—heirlooms that embody a sense of wonder and timelessness.
